I have been a subscriber to Creative Stamping magazine for a while now and I have been delighted with every issue I’ve received. Issue 95 is full of plenty of inspiration on how to get the most out of the stamp set ‘Message in a Bottle’ with elements designed by Lisa Horton crafts
There are so many projects I want to do with this stamp set but for this first card I was drawn to the floral images that are included in the stamp set. The design of this card was inspired by one in the magazine made by Jane Tyrrell.
I arranged the stamps in one corner of a square card and stamped them with black ink. I used a stamping platform which made it easy to rotate the card and stamp in each corner. I coloured the images with Spectrum Noir graphic markers.
When the design was complete I die cut a circle out of the bottom right hand corner of the card.
On a 6×6 top folding card blank I lined up the aperture and stamped the sailing ship which I then masked. I stamped the bottle over the ship. When I removed the masking paper the ship was in the bottle.
The patterned piece was attached to the card blank with foam to give it a bit of dimension.
To finish the card I added the sentiments and some small clear gems.
I used the circle cut from the front to decorate the inside of the card.
There are lots more cards I want to make with this stamp set and I look forward to sharing them with you.
Thank you for stopping by and if you like this card please leave me a comment.
