Butterfly Bookmark Card

Inside Papercraft Society Box 27 are the dies to make a cute little bookmark and the tassel to embellish it.  I love a card that contains a gift as well and this bookmark card is perfect for a book lovers birthday.

On the bottom of the box was a template to make a bookmark envelope, I traced the template and then using the measurements I created a copy on my Brother Scan n Cut, now I can make as many of these little envelopes as I want.

The little bookmark envelope fits perfectly on a 5×7 card.  I matted the card with pale green cardstock and attached a pink ribbon to the right hand side.  I stamped the sentiment  Happy Birthday in the left hand corner.

To embellish the card I stamped some butterfly images using the stamp included in the kit.  They were stamped onto watercolour cardstock and cut out using the Scan n Cut.  To colour the images I used the watercolour paints and the water brush that came in the box.  I love how easy it is to paint with the fine tipped water brush.

The book mark was decorated using the background stamp and kitsch flamingo distress oxide ink.  I embellished it with some left over button die cuts from the button frame card I made earlier in the week.

I’m sure I will be making lots more of these cards in different colourways.

Thank you for stopping by today and if you liked this card please leave me a comment

Happy Crafting
