Hello My crafting friends,
I’ve been seeing lots of examples of the emboss resist technique just recently and was excited to give it a try.
Using shades of blue distress oxide inks I blended ink over the image. I need lots more practice at getting an ombre effect. My blend is lovely and smooth but the colours dissipated into one shade.
I die cut the image out using a circle die but it was too large for my card design so I fussy cut round the image instead.
I’m joining in with this weeks challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
Sketch 479 has been designed by Kim Singdahlsen check out her blog “Joyful Creations with Kim” for lots of beautiful cards and inspiration.
Following the sketch to design my card I had too much white space. I used an embossing folder from my stash to add a bit of texture and I inked round the edges with the colour left on my blending brush to tie in with the blue image.
Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me today. If you have tried this technique and have any hints or tips please leave me a comment.
Have a lovely crafting day
