Tomorrow is being called ‘Blue Monday’ supposedly the most depressing day of the year so today’s card is one of encouragement for anyone who is feeling a little low.
I am crafting along with the second sketch challenge from Gentleman Crafter, his sketches are so easy to put together and adapt for what supplies you have on hand. This week I used the Love from Lizi December 2021 kit to decorate my card.
I adapted John’s sketch by using a folded piece of ribbon which coordinates with the patterned paper. Instead of using a die cut circle, I added a chipboard sentiment .
To embellish the card I used leaf and bud die cuts and added flat white glitter gems in three sizes.
Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment “the best is yet to come” and used one of the black and gold peel off stickers to edge the mat layer.
I have really enjoyed putting this card together. Sometimes a little encouragement is all that is needed to brighten someones day.
