Party Time Shaker Card

I love using every scrap of a kit and for this card I have made use of some bits that would normally end up in the recycling.

The patterned paper on the front of the card is the front preview sheet of the paper pad.  Cutting out the label makes a perfect aperture.  The acetate for the shaker window is from the stamp set packaging.

The party time theme of this kit is so much fun and I really wanted to make a card featuring the disco ball.  Adding it as the focal point of the shaker means it really does sparkle.

I embellished the inside of the card with a dancing shoe and some of the rub on fireworks.  This is the first time I have used rub on embellishments, they are so easy to use and add just a little extra to the inside of a card.

The front of the card is decorated with ephemera and chip board stickers from the kit. I added a final bit of sparkle with some of the pale pink glitter gems.

The sample sequin mix is a beautiful blend of the colours in the kit.  I added a few extra gold sequins from my stash.

Such an easy card to put together, perfect for a birthday girl who loves to party.

Thank you for stopping by today, if you like this card please leave me a comment.
