Tower cards featuring the “Cute Kittens” and “Perky Pooches” by Made to Surprise

I am a huge fan of the Made to Surprise brand at Craftstash and its designer Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft. Following Sams recent tutorial on YouTube for a Tower Block card I think I’ve developed a bit of an addiction.

Although this design looks impressive and complicated the tutorial is very easy to follow.

I’ve used different stamp sets and supplies to make five different cards in this style so far.  My favourites are the two made with the “Cute Kittens” and Perky Pooches” both from Made to Surprise.

The cards fold flat for mailing but when stood up they have four sides to show off lots of lovely images. Below are the four sides of my “Cute Kittens” card

Using the “Perky Pooches” stamp set, also from Made to Surprise I made this second tower card.  The central panels on each side are stamped and coloured with alcohol markers.  I masked the grass before stamping the cute little pooch.

To make the sky I masked off the puppy stamp and blended “Tumbled Glass” distress oxide ink .

A combination of stamped images and patterned papers make up the rest of the decoration on the card.

I was taking a break from my tower cards but wasn’t ready to put these cute puppy stamps away just yet.  I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge 485

This was a great sketch to work with and I’ve kept the white space so the stamped image on the banner really pops.  Check out all the other fabulous makes over at Freshly Made Sketches

Back now to my tower cards, I made a further three cards, using two more stamp sets from Made to Surprise – “Baked goods” and “Sweet additions” and the final card was made using the stamps from The Papercraft Society box 20.  See the gallery below for images of these cards

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have enjoyed seeing these tower cards.  Please leave me a comment and let me know which one is your favourite.

Happy Crafting

Dawn xx
